Two weeks ago I had the most wonderful bookish day ever. 

That week, in my WWW Wednesday post, I mentioned that I had started reading Hidden Wives by Claire Avery.  Well, later that day, I got an email from them (Claire Avery are sisters) offering me an autographed copy to give away on my blog.  Wow!  I was so excited.  I haven’t finished this book yet, but what I have read, I really enjoyed. 

On that same day I found out that our book club also won 8 copies of the book.  It is now our August book pick.  One of our members has already read it, and really liked it.  I can’t wait to pick it up again and finish it.

The next week I received the books and two hand written notes.  These sisters are so nice. I know that there book is going to be so successful.  And now you have an opportunity to read this wonderful book.

I am looking for a good home for my review copy of  Sarah Addison Allen’s,  The Girl Who Chased the Moon. This book has been all over the book blogs and I was lucky to get a copy.  I read it and reviewed it last month.  This is a lighthearted story, not to long or serious.  It is perfect for in between reading.  I used it as a break after reading The Butterfly House, by Marcia Preston, which was an intense story.

It is time to announce the winner of my Winter Garden giveaway.  Well, actually, yesterday was the time to announce.  But, I was convinced to work on girl scout cookie booth stuff, and didn’t get around to typing this post until now.  Cookies are OVER for now, so we can have our lives back to normal until next year!!!!!

Okay, back to the announcement.  The winner is Colleen at Books in the City.  She was chosen using my trademark selection method.  My lovely daughter chose her name out of a mixing bowl filled with every entry I got.  Yes, very scientific, I know.  If I ever get a ton of entries for a giveaway I may have to figure out one of those choosing sites.
